Strategic guidance to help you plan what’s next

Your Exigent Technical Advisor is your primary strategic technology advisor and an important part of your Assurance Managed Services partnership.

While our Service Team focuses on keeping your technology running day-to-day, your Technical Advisor looks ahead—helping you make informed technology decisions, plan for future needs, reduce risk, and keep your technology strategy aligned with your business goals.

Working alongside your Customer Care team and Exigent engineers, your Technical Advisor brings the strategic side of The Exigent Method to life throughout your partnership.

What Your Technical Advisor Does

Your Technical Advisor provides ongoing, business-focused technology guidance designed to help you get more value from your technology investments.

Your Technical Advisor leads activities such as:

  • Technology roadmap development
  • Periodic Business Reviews
  • Cybersecurity and risk discussions
  • Standards and best-practice reviews
  • Technology lifecycle planning
  • Vendor strategy and technology recommendations
  • Executive reporting and strategic planning

This isn't simply about maintaining your technology environment. It's about continuously evaluating where you are, where your business is headed, and what technology decisions will help you get there.

Strategic Guidance Included with Assurance

Every Assurance agreement includes dedicated time for proactive strategic consulting with your Technical Advisor. Your Strategic Guidance Allocation is based on your organization's size and service tier so the level of consulting available to you can grow alongside your business. This consulting time is used for activities such as roadmap planning, Periodic Business Reviews, technology lifecycle planning, cybersecurity strategy, audit and best-practice discussions, vendor evaluations, and other business-focused technology planning.

Your day-to-day support is separate. Helpdesk support, monitoring, maintenance, patching, and the other operational services included in your Assurance agreement continue to be covered as outlined in your agreement.

Your Technical Advisor can explain your specific engagement tier and Strategic Guidance Allocation.

More Visibility Into the Work We're Doing

Strategic planning often happens behind the scenes. We want you to have a clearer view of that work and the value it delivers. That's why we'll spend significant time reviewing activities during your Periodic Business Reviews, including:

  • Your Strategic Guidance Allocation standing
  • Strategic consulting invested during the review period
  • Projects and initiatives completed
  • Priorities for the upcoming period
  • Recommended next conversations and actions

Think of this as a partnership scorecard rather than a stopwatch. The goal is to make sure we're investing our time where it can provide the greatest value to your business while continuing to adjust as your priorities evolve.

When a Need Goes Beyond Your Strategic Guidance Allocation

Some initiatives require more extensive planning or a different level of engagement than your regular Strategic Guidance Allocation is intended to cover.

Examples may include:

  • Detailed solution architecture and project design
  • Formal compliance programs and audit preparation
  • Embedded executive technology leadership
  • Operational vendor management beyond strategic oversight
  • Major strategic initiatives requiring substantial planning

When that happens, your Technical Advisor will discuss the options with you before moving forward. Depending on the need, we may recommend scheduling the work within future consulting time, adding temporary strategic consulting hours, defining a separate project, or exploring a higher level of strategic engagement. Our role is to give you clear recommendations and transparent options so you can decide what best supports your business.

Our Commitment

Great technology partnerships aren't built solely on fixing problems. They're built on communication, transparency, proactive planning, and a shared understanding of where your business is going. Your Technical Advisor is here to help connect those pieces—bringing The Exigent Method, our technical expertise, and a long-term perspective to the technology decisions that matter to your business.
